Girls Got Guts 2023

We are so excited to announce GSC's annual Girls Got Guts Regatta is taking place on September 23, 2023! 

It’s that time of year when the girls take over the water and show off their sailing skills! Of course, we would absolutely love for the men to join in and support us, but Girls Got Guts Regatta requires a woman to be at the helm at all times! There will be two fleets. Fleet 1 will be comprised of boats with all-female crews and skippers. Fleet 2 will be comprised of co-ed crews, however, as previously mentioned, only female helms are allowed throughout the entire regatta, including starts. I also want to give a shout-out to the off-lake boats coming to our regatta this year! And, I'm pleased to announce the new Fleet 3 for Girls Got Guts! GSC is now the official holder of the J24 Women’s Perpetual Trophy and we have given them their own fleet to battle it out J24 style!

There will be an awards ceremony, dinner, and an AFTER PARTY! There will be pop-up shops, sips, sweets, and a delicious dinner! The best part? The party won’t stop! Rain, shine, or crippling heat will not stop the great ladies of Grapevine Sailing Club from having a good time! And, regardless of the weather, we will still have our party! 

We have several female-friendly businesses both big and small sponsoring this event, so come ready to have a good time!

0830 - Breakfast is served in the clubroom
0900 - Registration Closes
0930 - Skipper’s Meeting
1100 - First gun for race one. Additional races to follow.
1430 - No race start signal after this time. Awards ceremony and refreshments at the clubhouse at the end of race day
1700 - Meet at the clubhouse for the awards ceremony, dinner, and after-party!
