On the second Friday each month, we host the Monthly Membership Meeting and Social in the Club Room at Scotts Landing. Social starts at 6pm with dinner around 6:30 and then a brief membership meeting at 7ish. Our next meeting and social is April 8. We are doing a baked potato and salad bar - bring your favorite topper to share- (some ideas include pulled pork, chili, diced chicken or bacon!!). If you aren't a member and want to learn more, please visit with us during one of these monthly events so we can tell you more and answer the questions you have.

Jr Regatta Grapevine Grand Prix
May 6th-7th, 2023
Every year, GSC hosts a youth regatta as part of the Texas Sailing Association’s Youth Racing Circuit. This annual tradition regularly attracts between 65 and 100 youth racers mainly from across Texas – but also our neighbors in Oklahoma and Louisiana. The regatta is normally held in May and is always an exciting time.
Starting (on the water) at 1:00pm, this will be a very casual cruise up to the rock crusher, and then back to MacPherson Slough for the Raft Up at 3:00pm.
Whether we make it to the rock crusher and back is, of course, dependent on the wind speed and direction, but what would be nice is to have a flotilla of boats all sailing up the lake together :)
The raft up is a great way to visit with fellow GSC members, see their boats, and relax on the water!! The raft up will start at 3:00pm, after the fun cruise to the rock crusher.
Glenn Kimball will arrive early and anchor with his Hunter 29.5, and if you are planning to sleep overnight on your boat, please come early too so that all the boats that are staying the night are anchored/tied up in the center, which make it a lot easier when other boats want to leave sometime in the evening.
This is a pot-luck dinner, so please bring some food to share with others.
June 3-4 & 10-11, 2023
We are excited that you have a passion for learning to sail and that you’ve found your way to Grapevine Sailing Club. We are a very active club with a calendar full of great events throughout the year. The GSC sailing seminar is the best value in the area for learning to sail. At the end of the course, you will have all the knowledge needed to confidently sail a boat. This intro to the sailing is a great way to start your sailing journey.

On Saturday, July 16th, the Grapevine Sailing Club, US Coast Guard Auxiliary, and Wounded Warriors are sponsoring a day of sailing! This is an event that offers our military heroes an opportunity to learn to sail or simply an escape for them to have a fun outing with their family. Registration is from 11:00-12:00 and boats will then leave the dock around Noon and be back in by 4:00pm. There will be a BBQ at 4:30pm immediately following sailing.
We need to have all Volunteer Skippers confirmed ASAP so please register your boat here: Register for this event. Please note that each boat must have at least one Skipper and one Crew member, and Skippers will need to arrive on July 16th at 10:30am for briefing & last minute updates.
Ladies, it's that time of year where we take over the water and show off our sailing skills! Don't worry, gentlemen, you're invited too, but Girls Got Guts Regatta requires a women to be at the helm at all times! There will be two fleets. Fleet 1 will be comprised of boats with all-female crews and skippers. Fleet 2 will be comprised of co-ed crews, however, as previously mentioned, only female helms are allowed throughout the entire regatta including starts.
There will be an awards ceremony, dinner, and an after party with delicious Margaritas to follow! The best part? The party won't stop! Rain, shine, or crippling heat will not stop the great ladies of Grapevine Sailing Club from having a good time! And, regardless of the weather, we will still have our party!
